Noah Max is Thaxted Festival’s composer in residence 2023-24, as part of our new Developing Artists Programme. This evening’s concert features the world premiere of his Quartet No 2. (See concert details in next entry.) Noah’s opera A Child in Striped Pyjamas premièred in London in January this year and was sold out before Christmas. Noah is a visual artist, a poet, conductor, composer and poet. In this introductory talk to tonight’s concert he will talk about his work and his inspirations.
