Chopin: Sonata No 3 in B minor, Op 58
Scriabin: Fantasie in B minor, Op 28
Rachmaninoff: Preludes, Op 23

Canadian pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko amazed audiences, judges and viewers with his performances at last year’s Leeds International Piano Competition. He won the coveted first prize with his performance of Brahms’ second piano concerto and was awarded the Dame Fanny Waterman Gold Medal.

Already an experienced recitalist, Jaeden has played in major venues and alongside leading orchestras in North America and Europe. His current season includes appearances with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, at Wigmore Hall, and a spring tour of Korea. His debut recording was released on Warner Classics in autumn 2024. We are delighted to continue our association with the Leeds International, and privileged to welcome Jaeden to Thaxted Festival amidst his busy schedule.

‘He demonstrated exceptional artistic maturity and imagination, remarkable technical command, and a profound ability to captivate and transport the audience through his storytelling and poetry throughout the competition, culminating in a truly unforgettable final performance.’ Dame Imogen Cooper, Chair of the Jury, Leeds International Piano Competition
