Meet the Rising Stars at Thaxted Festival

Thaxted Festival has long been a platform for exceptional young musicians on the cusp of international acclaim. This year, we continue that proud tradition by welcoming three outstanding rising stars - violinist Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux, clarinettist Jonathan Leibovitz, and pianist Jonathan Ware - who will showcase their breathtaking artistry in an exhilarating concert of virtuosic chamber music.

🎻 Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux

A violinist of extraordinary depth and versatility, Charlotte has been dazzling audiences across the world. Winner of the Young Classical Artists Trust Grand Prize (2021), she has made acclaimed debuts with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Her debut solo album Ostinata received high praise for its “lyrical flow and tonal beauty” (The Strad), and she is fast becoming a leading name in chamber and solo performance.

🎼 Jonathan Leibovitz

Hailed as a rising star in the world of classical clarinet, Jonathan is the recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship Award (2024) and a Classic FM ‘Rising Star’ (2022). A prize-winner of major international competitions, he has performed with renowned orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, and London Mozart Players. His performances combine technical brilliance with a deep sense of musical storytelling.

🎹 Jonathan Ware

One of the most sought-after chamber pianists and song accompanists of his generation, Jonathan has performed at prestigious venues such as Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Berlin Staatsoper, Wigmore Hall, and the Salzburg Festival. With an innate sensitivity to musical collaboration, he has shared the stage with legendary singers and instrumentalists, making him an ideal partner for this dynamic trio.

A Thrilling Programme of Chamber Music

This special concert will take listeners on a journey through vibrant and expressive works for violin, clarinet, and piano. Featuring music by Paul Schoenfield, Bartók, Khachaturian, and Béla Kovács, the programme blends folk influences, virtuosic energy, and expressive lyricism, promising an unforgettable evening of chamber music.

Thaxted audiences have always taken great pride in discovering world-class musicians before they become household names. Past festival performers include Nigel Kennedy, Nicola Benedetti, Jamie Cullum, and Sheku Kanneh-Mason - and now is your chance to witness the next generation of extraordinary talent.
