Event Details

Thaxted's historic windmill, with its millwrighting machinery, is currently being repaired with major funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic England, Thaxted charities and other sources. These tours are an exciting opportunity to see the work in progress and learn about the specialist skills and materials needed to conserve this Grade II* building.

The tours are free (hard hats supplied) but booking is essential as places are limited to ten per tour. Please email johnwebbswindmill@gmail.com stating the day and time slot and the number of places you require.
