Join our 2024 Artists-in-Residence for a free lively pre-concert discussion, which will set the scene for the opening concert of our season.

Before the world première this evening of his Symphony No 1, Noah Max, our Composer-in-Residence 2023-24, will talk about this new work, and about his life as a visual artist, conductor, composer and poet. Thaxted Festival is proud to support Noah as part of our Developing Artists Programme and through our funding for new commissions. He is joined by tonight’s conductor, George Jackson; Iyad Sughayer, pianist and Artist-in-Residence; and Festival Artistic Director Andrew Jenkins.

Venue: United Reformed Church, Bolford Street, Thaxted CM6 2PY
Tickets: free, unreserved seating.

“2 terrific concerts I heard with London Mozart Players.”

“I think Gustav is smiling down to see how his memory and that of his best friend and colleague Ralph Vaughan Williams are honoured by the expertly played pieces they both composed.”
