Programme

Love Flows as the Brook Flows

Acclaimed baritone Roderick Williams is a huge favourite of Thaxted Festival audiences, and we are delighted to welcome him and pianist Susie Allan back to perform a wide-ranging programme, sung in English, which has the outdoor and natural world as its theme.

With Schubert providing the route map, we wander through rural byways with Vaughan Williams, Rebecca Clarke, Gerald Finzi, Herbert Howells, Benjamin Britten and many other composers for an afternoon of sheer vocal and piano delight. It will be such a treat to hear Roddy’s wonderful singing again for us in Thaxted Church, amongst his busy international engagements.

Please note the afternoon start time for this performance.

This concert is sponsored by a friend of Thaxted Festival who wishes to remain anonymous.
