Event Details

Experience a British classic like never before! Saffron Screen and Thaxted Festival are proud to present Nick Park’s Oscar-winning masterpiece, The Wrong Trousers, featuring a live soundtrack performed by the Haverhill Silver Band.

The event kicks off with a special live set of music from the band to get you in the spirit, followed by the film itself. Watch the drama of Feathers McGraw and the legendary ‘Techno-Trousers’ heist come to life with the rich, vibrant sound of a full silver band ensemble. From the suspense of a penguin on the loose to the high-octane toy train finale, this is a multi-sensory treat for all ages. Cracking tunes, Gromit!

Haverhill Silver Band is a nationally-ranked championship section brass band and charity based in the market town of Haverhill in Suffolk. The town has a proud brass band tradition dating back to the 19th century, making the band one of the oldest in the country. Since those early beginnings, the band has earned a reputation for high-quality music-making and competes in contests across the country, as well as performing in concerts and community events throughout the year under the baton of musical director, Paul Filby. In 2022, Haverhill Silver Band made history by becoming the first band from Suffolk to be crowned the London & Southern Counties champions. Since then the band has gone from strength to strength, delighting audiences and achieving success at national competitions.
