Festival Mass

Come and celebrate worship with a new setting of the Mass for choirs, congregation and jazz quartet. Following last year’s successful revival of a Festival Mass tradition, Wolfson College Chamber Singers return to perform a new Mass setting composed by Festival Artistic Director Christopher Weston. They are joined by Thaxted Church choir, a quartet and the congregation. This work forms an integral part of regular Sunday worship in the Parish Church, to which all are welcome. No charge; church collection.

“The whole Thaxted Festival Team are brilliant, making everyone feel welcome, and the whole atmosphere is light-hearted and enjoyable.”
Thaxted Festival concertgoer

“The performance was a joy … and the quartet brought out its sense of both structural and linear perfection.” Holst’s Phantasy Quartet Op 36 performed by the Tippett Quartet.
